A Path of His Own is a portrait of David B. Milne (1882-1953), a unique, Canadian artist. The film features Les Carlson as David Milne and is based on Milne's journals, letters, and his unpublished autobiography.
Shot on location in Ontario and New York State, A Path of His Own traces Milne's life and work. With a career which spanned nearly fifty years, Milne's output was remarkable. This beautifully photographed documentary-drama has been featured at many film festivals and in 1980 swept the Canadian Film & Television Awards, winning seven coveted awards including "Best Overall Production".
